The Princess

Well this week has been a whirlwind! But a fantastic whirlwind :) The Princess got up Monday morning and informed me that she had 'asked God into my heart by saying the sinner's prayer'. I could not have been any happier! Wow! I asked of course all the details and why she didn't come downstairs to let us know. Her response: 'Well Daddy doesn't like us to get up from bed after he turns out the light'. Such the rule follower :) I told her I had been praying for her and her salvation since I knew I was pregnant for her. Some day I will have such a wonderful story to tell her. I totally believe God has something special in store for our sweet little girl. I prayed for her when I first found out I was pregnant. I prayed that I would keep her whenever there where 'choices' given to me about my pregnancy. I didn't even know there were 'choices' at the time! I fought for her. I loved her. I couldn't imagine my world without her. She is the most amazing little blessing I have ever had! Look what God has done! What an amazing gift she is to all of us. She is a beautiful, talented, bright little princess. But most importantly she's God's princess!
Today the Princess was baptized! When we were explaining what baptism is, she went on to tell the story of John the Baptist in the Jordan River. So amazing how kids remember all the details! When she was being baptized, our pastor asked her if she had given her life to Jesus. She answered with a confident and loud YES! I am amazed at the remarkable young lady God has made her. She will be eight years old in just 22 short days. I can't believe it! God gave me the strength to fight for her and I cannot wait to see what He has planned for His Princess!

BBB (blessed beyond belief)

Ok maybe I'm being sentimental tonight since I was looking at pictures but I had to share :)
I love my wonderful family! My mom was here last week for a work conference. It was wonderful having her here. PC works on the farm with my dad and brother. It is such a wonderful thing to see the three men I love most in this life share laughter and friendship. It means so much to me that they have this wonderful friendship. My mom goes back and forth with him giving him a hard time but at the end of the day she calls him 'my son'. She can become a mama bear if anyone upsets any of us. She's one of the most Godly beautiful woman I have ever known.
I honestly can say I wouldn't know what to do without my wonderful and supportive family. PC and I have had many  ups and downs in our marriage like everyone else and my family have always been there showing a great example of how two people can stick together through anything. My great-grandparents will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary this year together! Wow. God is so amazing! I asked them on their 65th what makes their marriage a 'success story'. My g-grandpa answered in just a few words, "God has to be the center".  What a testimony and legacy they leave us. My grandparents are some of the funniest people to be around! We sit around all together playing dominos or just talking on cold nights in the winter in their 'Party Barn' (a metal barn on their farm :)) laughing and having a great time! That's what my family does for fun and I wouldn't trade any of them or any of the time I have shared with them. I am so happy my children are raised around these wonderful people and can see how important God is to our family through others.

Snow Day Fun

So Prince Charming was ever so charming in mentioning that my last post made our lives seem like it was on steroids. Well, it is! The last post only covered a span of four days :) So today we are snowed in. I thought it would be wonderful for everyone to have a fun relaxing day. PC woke up at 430, went to school, worked out, then got the message school was canceled. So being the brainiac that he is decided to study all day. Not my idea of relaxation but ok. The Princess and Prince 1 just couldn't handle watching tv. It kept them way to idle. Prince 2 can not be happy today. He is very miserable. I think we may be on our way of a long wait of teeth. I am so encouraged. So the easy day of relaxation ended in less than 30 mins. Oh well the house looks like a tornado came through it so I need to not be lazy. I can write my own obituary. The title will read "Death by Laundry". 'Yes folks she was found beneath 2 tons (b/c 1 isn't enough for 5 people) of clothing crushed'. So off to the laundry pile I go before it happens.

Past week

So this past week has been exciting, fun, and expensive :( We had a little prince come in our bedroom a few nights ago telling us he heard a fox upstairs. Prince Charming then went on a 'hunt' followed by Prince 1 armed with flashlights. They did this all through the house for about five minutes before PC came up with the idea the fox had escaped but PC would be on the lookout just in case. P1 has started sleeping in his own bed! Yippee! He was sleeping in his sister's bed, but since he is too old for that I finally got up the courage for some sleepless nights waiting at the end of the stairs to catch him sneaking to her room so we could break him of the habit. Prince 2 has been sleep trained! Another yippee! We only had one very extreme crying night as we laid him down. Now he just lays down, whimpers for a few minutes then falls fast asleep! He's actually sleeping longer because of it! PC has started his workout routine much earlier. He gets up with God. So P2 has now started waking up with the alarms at the bright and wonderful early time of 430am. Hmm. I am not a morning person at all! Oh well its better than every three hours so I will try to see the positives! P1 insists on wearing his underwear on backwards so he may view Mater or Thomas the Train at any time. This is at PC's strong recommendation we should not start this habit. But who's to say that when he's 30 he will still be doing it? Oh well I'm not in the mood to argue such little things. I have bigger fish to fry :) I'm going to try to start working out again with a friend of mine in the evenings starting tomorrow night. Wish me luck! I'll need it that's for sure!
The expensive part of our week was our burb has become less dependable so we bought a van! Well I love this van but never thought I'd own a van. It's not the stigma really, it's just the height problem.  I don't like being so close to the ground. It has more buttons than a cockpit. I'll eventually learn to use it. My computer crashed and the kids' was on its' last leg so we bought an iMac. I had to text PC how to turn it on today so not off to a good start in the electronic world. I did start my sewing class! I love it and think that we have a great group of beginners! I'm excited!
Well off to play teacher as the Princess is working in math. We will see how many problems mom will get right/wrong today :)

Shopping Wednesday

So just to re-cap Tuesday we had a wild time going to our different activities. Tuesdays at our house I have themed 'Crockpot Tuesdays'. PC makes fun of me saying it. Since we have an activity in the AM and one in the PM it's just so much simpler to have food ready when we get home! I made pulled pork sandwiches. Let me say YUMMY! PC took them to school to share with his bromance. Yes PC has a good buddy that I have nicknamed their relationship. I'm sure he appreciates me sharing that little tid-bit :)
Today we went to story time at the library for the first time and we all really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed Prince 2 sleeping through the whole thing. I am trying to theme each day so get more accomplished and we can venture out to expose the kids to different things in Tulsa. Today was library day then church in the evening. BUT I called ahead to Gymboree last night if I could put my items to use my gym bucks on behind the counter and they said I could come in today to use them! Yippee! This is a great necessity because it seems all three kiddos hit a growth spurt at the same time, therefore, there are no socks, shirts, shoes, or pants that correctly fit any child. Hmm. After library time I wisely took them to Chick-fil-a to run off some excess excitement and just pure craziness so they would quietly sit their bums in the seats at Gymboree. They did just that. I didn't have to get on to them once. Amazing. It's like Christmas for Mommy! After Gymboree I went on to Carters for P1 and P2 dress clothes. Needless to say, Prince Charming won't be charmed by the reciepts :(
PC came to church with us tonight and started 'raising a modern day knight' and I started Beth Moore's 'inheritance'. I'm very excited to start these Bible studies. P2 started bananas today. I'm interested to find out how that will change his lovely odor. P1 has learned to dress himself and buckle himself into his carseat! I'm so proud. (It's the little things) Princess has now begun Harry Potter 6 and keeps talking how we are going to name her little sister Hermione. What little sister is all I have to say.

Yesterday and Today

So my idea was to blog every MWF starting yesterday...oops! Well I will make up for it today. I was all geared up to blog last night when Prince Charming told me he had important info about finances we needed to discuss. After waiting on him for an hour he comes to bed and lays down with his eyes shut. When I kindly broach the subject he says he forgot and then begins snoring. Hmm.
Prince 1 & 2 are asleep and the princess is curled up with the 5th Harry Potter book. She's almost finished! I'm indulging in some choclate and a diet coke. I don't drink diet coke as often any more so the taste is defintely different. Instead of finishing the laundry from my laundry day (yesterday :)) I'm going to do this since it's bugging me. Tuesdays are always crazy as we have swimming lessons in the AM and then come home for lunch and for the boys nap and before you know it it's dance time! Crazy. I don't know why I do it to myself sometimes. I have no one to blame but me. Prince 1 will wake up in about 2 hours and think it is morning because he has been asleep. His days are very short apparently. We had pinto beans last night so since I'm still breastfeeding P2 he has been extra smelly today. Yippee. I swear the lady at the swim club thought I was doing it because nothing that foul could ever come out of a sweet face like his. P1 saw a little boy at the swim school today lick his grandma so what did he do while I'm coaxing him asleep?! Yep, he licked me.

New Year

So this year has been busy so far! I'm sure everyone is hitting the ground running also. We had friends come and visit us in our hometown recently and had a great time! I've been looking into different homeschooling options. I would like to join a co-op in Tulsa. I'm really excited about the princess' curriculum this semester. Besides core subjects she's doing Bible lessons, anatomy, and Spanish. She will love it! Prince # 1 will beginning some pre-reading curriculum. I hope to have him reading by fall...fingers crossed! I'm really dreading prince charming going back to school. He's currently rubbing my feet and watching a Keanu Reeves movie. I personally cannot stand that actor! Well off to swim lessons tomorrow. I know they will love it!
