Swimming Tuesday

The oldest two have been in swimming lessons since January and love it! The Princess is doing so well! I am so impressed! G and Papa bought them swim lessons for this semester for Christmas and it has been such a great investment! Prince 1 is floating on his back almost by himself already. This is a huge accomplishment b/c he hates being on his back in the water! He however, loves to go underwater and kick and splash :) They were so proud of themselves after ribbon week at swim school! The Princess got four ribbons and moved up an entire level! Prince 1 got two ribbons and should move up a level by the end of May! Prince 2 may start swim lessons this fall with the other two if mommy decides to get over her fear of wearing a bathing suit. I don't mind it's the other people who do :)

February 20-21 2011

What a wonderful two days! But what is more wonderful is February 21, 2003! That is whenever we welcomed a 9lb 8oz 22 3/4" at 3:26pm baby girl into our lives! What a beautiful, wonderful, blessing God gave us! I could have never imagined what an impact this little girl would have on our lives! She is so amazing. What is more amazing is how He had her picked out just for us. There was no else as perfect for me and PC than this little being. He knew exactly what He was doing! Sunday (20th) we made her birthday cake together. Of course it was double chocolate with chocolate icing! We had so much fun creating it together. Prince 1 and 2 were playing together so it was just the Princess and I in the kitchen by ourselves! How I cherish these moments. We have matching aprons from PC's grandmother so it made it that much more fun! G came into town to celebrate with us! Papa had an AG meeting scheduled for this week in OKC so he was very disappointed.
On the 21st we got up and went to Krispie Kreme then went shopping for toys because G was here! G takes them shopping for toys every time I swear! She spoils them so much! Afterwards we went to Chick-fil-a. The Princess loves the Aquarium so we went to watch them feed the sharks, we fed the sting rays, and the turtles. So much fun! We met Uncle Luke and Nikki at Chilis to celebrate! We had such a great time celebrating all together! Daddy had a big test on Monday so he was pretty pooped but hung in there for the festivities. We came back to the house to have our cake and open presents! Luke even bought Prince1 a gift so he wouldn't feel left out. What a great uncle huh?!

After everyone was in bed, Prince Charming and I stayed up talking about what we were doing on the 20th and how I went into labor and all the things said and all the things we did :) We laughed so hard about all that happened and even cried a little about how our 'little' girl turned 8! I wouldn't change anything for the world! I love her so much! God is so good. All the time.

ER Visit

So last Monday we had to visit the ER for the first time with Prince 2! What an interesting day! Sunday he bonked his head as he was sitting up and threw himself backwards onto the hardwood floors. He was sitting on the floor and as I was reaching for the pillow to put behind him, for such an incident, he flew back! Oh this kid! After I looked at the back of his head and he had a dent!! A dent in his head! Definitely not getting the mom of the year award. I text a picture to our pediatrician, because yes she's that awesome! We are three hours away and she helped us out! Love it! She said to watch him and if he didn't act any different then to take him into the OSU clinic the next day. Well after six hours of dealing with OSU Peds, the insurance company, and the clinic we see in Durant, the triage nurse says just to go to the ER. Really?! Why didn't they tell us that 6 hours ago? After I'm extremely frustrated we load up and go to the ER. When we finally see the ER doc he just says to come back w/o checking in next time since we are OSU students. Finally something OSU will give back after the million dollars we have spent through them for education (as I exaggerate slightly :)). So needless to say P2 is doing wonderful no big deal everything looks great. Can't wait to get the bill for that visit but better safe than sorry.

Exercise, Reading, and Babbling

I truly hope to start exercising and reading more. I know that if I put it in my 'To-Do' list somehow I will remember/find time/loose sleep to do it! Surely I can! If anyone has any great books to read I'd love to hear! I am still on Sarah Palin's book at the moment :( I will finish it! I love it I just don't have the time for it! I've been reading 'The Power of a Praying Wife' for my devotional. It is really a hard read. Lots of rereading. Maybe its just me. I think God knows I need it! Heck my husband is a medical student he needs all the prayers he can get! I just re-started working out since the massive snow explosion of '11. I think I can feel all the muscles in my body screaming at me at this moment. Somehow I have to make it up the stairs into the shower tonight without falling. Each step will be a huge triumph I can already tell.
Terrific Tuesdays are always busy. The Princess is working on perfecting her dive and strokes in swimming. It is so amazing how quickly she is learning. This is great for her since she inherited her mother's athleticism. Prince 1 is just learning how to point his hands/arms so he can start diving off the swimming wall. Prince 2 is learning not to hit or bite everything that comes in contact with his hands or mouth. (we are still working on that)

Marshmallow Tuesday

Oops I meant to post this before the previous ;)
Wednesday we had yet another ice/snow storm! We got between 8-10"! It got down to -38 in Nowata OK and will be in the low 70s this week! Since everything was going to be nasty overnight on Tuesday dance was pushed up so we had a wonderful family night. We had marshmallows, hershey kisses, and vanilla wafers as our version of s'mores. It was much easier for the kids to eat! They had so much fun having hot chocolate and bite size s'mores!
Wednesday PC, P1, and the Princess all went outside to attempt to build a snowman. The snow was too powdery to compact so they were looking at all the amazing ice sickles hanging off the porch! One was taller than P1!

Wonderful Kids

This week has been so much fun but very busy! I can't believe that a week from tomorrow my Princess will be 8!!! PC is having a real hard time with her getting older. It's so sweet to have such a caring husband that you can really see how much he loves our kids. All our kids are so precious to us, but the Princess is so special because she is the only girl ;) So sweet so kind. She has a wonderful personality. Prince 1 and Prince 2 sit in our captain seats in the van side by side. P1 leaned over and said "I love you" out of the blue Tuesday. Then he said "Mom, he's my best friend". It made my day! Oh the many joys our boys will bring us together! All the adventures and trouble they will get into together! P2 took a nasty fall tonight as he was trying to sit up. I turned around to put a blanket behind him if he fell and swung around to watch him in slow motion fall backwards to hit his head on the hardwood floors. So sad. I tried so hard to reach him in time but it didn't happen. So scary! Neither of the first two have ever fallen off anything or hit their head this young. Poor thing. Of course PC says he will be just fine and was more concerned about me beating myself up. I can't help it! It was my fault after all!
We can't wait for this week! We get some warm weather! Whoo hoo!

Big Plans!

Last night we got the most anticipated email of this century so far (well maybe I exaggerate :)). Prince Charming got his rotation schedule!!! Yippee! So now our lives can finally be planned for the next two years! We got everything that we had preferred, which is a blessing from God! I am so happy to know what, where, and how we are going to do things for 2011-2013! As of April 2012 we can move out of our Tulsa house to Durant for either 2 or 4 months. This all depends on PC's choice of residency location. Of course, he could throw me for a loop and move us to a totally different state but as of now I am happy just knowing the basic plan. Ask me tomorrow and it may be a different story :) Yes we make plans and God laughs. How often has He shown me that He has the plan for our future, not me?! Yes I am sick. I cannot wait to move. What is going to happen when we finally settle down? I love to move to different places! My ultimate goal is to move home...Durant. But this is what God has planned for us now so I must be content! I have so many things to be thankful for so I must wait, be patient.
Tonight PC is going to take the kids outside to build another snowman (since of course he didn't approve of the one mom made :)) He wants them to make the 'ultimate snowman'. Oh how I love him! We have fajitas in the crockpot, plans for roasting marshmellows, making s'mores, and hot chocolate tonight! Can't wait. I am so blessed.

SNOW in OK!

So this past week we had an unusual amount of snow...17 inches in fact :) We have had the best time though! We didn't get to go to Great Wolf Lodge as planned in celebration for the Princess' birthday but we had tons of fun just being the Lee clan! We have made homemade hot chocolate, lasagna, banana bread, chicken pot pie, chicken 'n' dumplings, cakes, and tons of other stuff! We will never starve :) I even gave the kids some pointers about football while watching the Super Bowl since PC was out studying. PC didn't know what to do with himself since he claims he can't study at home. He decided he had to get out on about day #2. So he thought he would travel to see his buddy. The thing was he thought he could get through the drive way without shoveling it. UMM. Not a good plan. Yes he is going to be a doctor. So he ran in to our brand new van (new to us since we are poor medical students not new new :)). Yep I have a big dent in my bumper now. I just laughed it off and said we can't be 'proud' of anything. God is teaching us humility :)

On a lighter note the kids had a blast making snow angels and a snow man!
