Fun filled sick week
This week we were sick but we still had tons of fun! The PC is still studying so just because you people haven't seen him he is alive and well...I think ;) This week we went to the OSUCOM spouse's association meeting at a new place! It was a wonderful yogurt bar where we had tons of fun trying different candies in our yogurt. The kids had their friends over Friday since mommy needed a tutoring session in Photoshop with Miss Becky! (It was much needed because I have no idea what I am doing and she is brilliant!) We had a wonderful visit with the Derbs with a wonderful steak dinner that followed cooked by our wonderful husbands! Saturday I ran my first 5K with a good friend who was gracious enough to slow down for me since I have two sprained ankles and shin splints! We had so much fun and even though I didn't reach my goal I am so proud that we accomplished this! PC and I don't get much time to talk to each other since he leaves around 4 or 430 each morning and gets home around 7 or 8. I leave around 8 or 830pm to go work out so our paths cross very rarely were we have a meaningful conversation besides talking about schedules. So with all that said I am so glad we came back to our hometown this weekend and had a whole 2.5 hours to talk! (It's all about the little things!) There are tons of grammatical errors and run on sentences but please keep in mind I am not an English teacher just a homeschooling mom :)

Catching up
So I made it 10 days on the cleanse. We had a terrible storm come through OK and for anyone who knows me I can not stand storms. So I ate to deal with the stress! Yes probably not healthy, recommended, or suggested but who cares! P2 has been sick once again. It has been hard to see my sweet baby sick yet again. What happened to all the talk about breastfeeding is best because of giving them their immune system? Yes he's past the 6 month mark so he's on his own so his immune system officially sucks (please excuse my language but that is how I feel :)). This past Sunday we were at a church Easter egg hunt and some of the moms were talking about putting their little ones in mother's day out programs. I'm sure that many people have different opinions when it comes to this matter but I personally don't understand a lot of it. I have worked so hard in order to be able to stay at home. For the first time in 8 years I am not working or going to school so why would I want to put my kids in a mother's day out program? Many say for some 'you' time. Well I gave that up whenever I became a mom. By all means I do not mean I am judging others I am just speaking about me personally. I go work out at 9pm b/c everyone is asleep. My husband goes to school 40 hrs a week then studies for 40+ hours a week. I honestly can't remember being without any children during normal daytime hours! I wouldn't trade anything for the time I have had with my kids though.

Standard Process Cleanse Week #1
Oh so PC and I have started our annual whole body cleanse. It is truly amazing how you can feel with just fruits and veggies in your diet. No hypoglycemia and sleepy spells! Yes of course you are going to feel sleepy at first and feel like you are dragging your feet on the first few days but wow what an amazing feeling to change the way you look and feel! P90X was a little difficult this week as I was changing all my habits. Whew! Running and working out is rough on just water and veggies beforehand :) Many have asked what we hope to gain from this, since yes we do eventually go back to our bad habits. I hope to loose weight, feel better, and possible reduce my risk of cancer and other illnesses by cleansing my body organs once a year. I haven't 'weighed in' yet but I will tomorrow! I can't wait to see what the results of one week are!
